For over 60 years!
Stainless Foundry has supplied the pump and valve OEM market with high integrity castings in a wide range of Alloys, including castings requiring numerous third party certifications and value added (NDE, Machining, Special Processes) operations. Parts include valve bodies, pump casings and complex impellers which are all produced to tight tolerances in the sand casting Division at Stainless Foundry & Engineering, Inc.
What our sand pouring & melt process offers:
Core Making:
Three different core binder systems (no-bake, oil and shell) gives us many options in making a quality core needed to meet our diverse requests for different Alloys, complex shapes and various sizes.
Molding Technique:
Two different molding types are available for our customers. Green sand with flask sizes from 12" x 18" to 30" x 30" and no bake with flask sizes from 12" x 18" to as large as 72" x 72".
Sand Melting:
Three induction melt power supplies with six furnaces. Furnace sizes range from 400 lbs. to 2500 lbs, giving SF&E flexibillity in scheduling by weight and Alloy. We can however, pour molds with a pour weight up to about 5000 lbs.
Sand Cleaning:
To meet the variable needs of our customers castings in size, shape and Alloy, we have a diverse equipment list that includes three different cutoff options, four finish blasting medias (Aluminum oxide, Stainless steel wire, steel shot, bead blast), straightening presses and on-site NDT including RT, PT, MT, VT and UT.
