Illium 8 Alloy

ILLIUM 8 conforms to ASTM A494 as grade CY5SnBiM.  This is a nickel-based alloy that provides excellent galling resistance due to the formation of a tin-bismuth phase. This alloy is very machinable; however, it is not weldable.

The design of Illium 8 was to help provide an alloy with gall resistant properties, comparing to Waukesha 88.
