Valve Bonnet

A  valve bonnet is a form of cover for the opening of a valve body that acts as the opening and closing mechanism for the valve. For this reason, it’s the second most important valve component of a pressure valve. The bonnet is connected to the valve body by a threaded, bolted, or welded joint, with the purpose of holding all the parts together inside. The beauty of bonnets is that they can be designed into different shapes and dimensions to fit any project.

When sourcing a valve bonnet make sure you are talking to an expert in the field like Stainless Foundry & Engineering, as you want to optimize the design of this part to reduce the overall dimensions of the finished valve and to make sure you have a leak-proof connection between the body and the bonnet. We have experience in different designs and alloys when it comes to valve components. Some examples include:

  • Extended Bonnet
  • Cryogenic Bonnet
  • Bolted Bonnet
  • Round Bonnet
  • Welded Bonnet
