A pump’s volute or casing is mainly made up of three different castings: upper casing, impeller, and lower pump casing. Essentially, it is the pressure or non-pressure retaining housing of the impeller and pump drive system. It can be vertical or horizontal, depending on the pump shaft, element bearings, and impeller.
We have over 75 years of experience casting pump and valve components, among them different types and designs of casings such as:
- Upper Pump Casing
- Lower Pump Casing
- Double Suction Pump Casing
- Multi-Stage Pump Casing & Impellers
- Vertical Casing
- Horizontal Casing
